Hosting and server log data
This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in data centres in the EU. Operation and technical support are provided by our IT service provider heintec – Sergej Hein, Alter Sportplatz 7, 51491 Overath, Germany. Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with both providers.

When you access the website, your browser automatically transmits technical data to the server: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is required to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. It is not combined with other data sources and is stored only for as long as necessary for these purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website.

Cookies
We do not set any cookies when you visit this website. A technically necessary session cookie is set only after logging in to the password-protected editorial area, which is reserved for our staff.

Web analytics with Umami
To evaluate and improve the use of our website, we use the open-source analytics tool Umami. Umami is not operated by an external analytics provider but by our IT service provider heintec on its own server at Hetzner Online GmbH in the EU. When a page is opened, a script is loaded from umami.heintec.de for this purpose.

Umami does not use cookies and does not create user profiles. It records the pages visited, the referrer URL, browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, as well as the country, region and city derived from the IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. To distinguish visits, an identifier is generated from the IP address and browser data; it changes regularly and does not allow you to be identified. The data is not passed on to third parties.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in measuring reach and improving our website. You can object to this at any time by contacting us or by blocking scripts from umami.heintec.de in your browser (for example with a content blocker).

Contact form and email
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide: name, email address, optionally your phone number, your message and, where applicable, further details of your enquiry (e.g. period, venue or product), as well as the page from which you submitted the form. Form submissions are not stored in a database but sent to us by email via the mail server of Hetzner Online GmbH.

We use this data solely to handle your enquiry and do not pass it on without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete the data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example for business correspondence.

Links to other websites
Our pages contain links to websites of other providers. Data such as your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider only when you click such a link. The respective provider is responsible for any data processing on its website.

SSL/TLS encryption
This website uses TLS encryption so that data you send to us cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

Your rights
Within the limits of the law, you have the right at any time to:

  • access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)

To exercise these rights, simply contact mail@235media.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.
